The new FEIEA Portal went online last weekend and we are now fine-tuning the system and building new features step by step. Today we  increased the system performance, running four times faster now, (.. optimizing the caching of the Core-CMS, enabling compression, ...). We also switched to a more search-engine friendly URL structure and implemented a system to keep the old style links still working. Google honoured that today by increasing our Pagerank from 5 to 6 . We also made some efforts to carefully clean up the interface. If you go to the front-page, you will notice the simplified box in the right bar. Now I am very interested in your opinion. Does the front-page feel cleaner, does it not change anything for your look and feel or did you even like the old box more than the new one? Please leave your comments here.

By the way: This publishing tool, is the new, more collaborative and far more secure version of the FEIEA "Round Table" concept. It gives all members the possibility to create their own space, to publish their knowledge or to discuss new ideas. When building this solution i spent more time in removing unwanted features, than in creating new ones. And it was one of my most challenging projects. I wanted to enable some modern publishing features without breaking the business authority character of this website. I am excited about the possible publishing-power of so many experts on one Site. Please try the features and let me know about your suggestions.
